TASTY MEAL IDEAS

Ingredients

  • Ingredients:
  • - 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • - 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • - 4 cloves garlic minced
  • - 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • - Salt and pepper to taste
  • - 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
  • - Juice of 1 lemon
  • - Grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

  • Cooking Instructions:
  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Drain and set aside, reserving about 1 cup of pasta water.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using). Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
  • Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet with the shrimp and garlic butter. Add reserved pasta water a little at a time to help create a creamy sauce. Stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley.
  • Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese and additional parsley if desired.
  • Extra Tips:
  • For the best results, make sure not to overcook the shrimp as they can become tough and rubbery.
  • Keep an eye on their color and texture; they should be just cooked through and still juicy.
  • Using fresh ingredients, like fresh parsley and high-quality pasta, can elevate the dish even further.
  • Don't hesitate to experiment with additional ingredients such as spinach or cherry tomatoes for added flavor and nutrition!
