Cooking Instructions:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it, which should take about 2-3 minutes.
Once the garlic is golden, add the red pepper flakes and sauté for an additional 30 seconds to infuse the oil with flavor.
Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing it in the garlic oil until well coated. If the pasta seems dry, gradually add some reserved pasta water until you reach the desired consistency.
Season with salt to taste and stir in the chopped parsley. Serve immediately, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
