RECIPES BEEF GROUND

Ingredients

  • Ingredients:
  • - 1 pound lean ground beef
  • - 1 ½ cups low-sodium beef broth
  • - 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • - 2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • - 1 tablespoon honey
  • - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • - 2 cloves garlic minced
  • - 1 tablespoon fresh ginger root minced
  • - 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • - ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • - 1 12-ounce bag frozen broccoli florets
  • - 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • - 2 tablespoons cool water
  • - ½ teaspoon toasted sesame oil optional
  • - Cooked rice or noodles for serving
  • - Olive oil or vegetable oil for cooking
  • - Salt and pepper for seasoning

Instructions

  • Cooking Instructions:
  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and break it into a few large pieces. Brown the meat without touching it for about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, then use a wooden spoon to break it into smaller pieces.
  • In a bowl, combine the beef broth, oyster sauce, soy sauce, and honey. Stir the minced garlic and ginger into the cooked beef for 1 minute. Drain any excess grease from the pan and add the prepared sauce along with the broccoli, stirring to combine.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer. Cook for several minutes until the broccoli is tender. In a separate bowl, whisk the cornstarch into the cool water, then pour this mixture into the pan, stirring continuously.
  • Bring the sauce back to a boil and cook until it thickens. If desired, stir in the toasted sesame oil for additional flavor.
  • Serve the dish hot over cooked rice or noodles. Garnish with green onions if desired, and enjoy your meal!
  • Extra Tips:
  • When cooking ground beef, it's important to choose the right fat content for your preference. Look for 80/20 or 85/15 options for a good balance of flavor and lean meat.
  • Always confirm that the beef is cooked to an internal temperature of 160°F to guarantee safety. Don't overcrowd the pan while cooking, as this can lead to uneven cooking.
  • Finally, feel free to customize the recipe by adding your favorite vegetables or spices to suit your taste. Enjoy your delicious ground beef dish!
