Cooking Instructions:
In a shallow bowl or baking dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, and sugar until well combined.
Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add butter or non-stick spray to coat the surface.
Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure both sides are evenly coated. Avoid soaking the bread for too long to maintain its structure.
Place 2-3 slices of the soaked bread onto the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
Continue cooking in batches, adding more butter or spray as needed, until all the slices are cooked. Serve hot with your choice of toppings.
For the best results, remember to keep the heat at a medium level to prevent burning while making sure the inside of the French toast cooks through. Using high-quality, thick bread will enhance the texture and prevent excessive sogginess.
Don't hesitate to experiment with different toppings, such as toasted nuts or cinnamon sugar, to add a personal touch to your Pumpkin Puree French Toast!
