  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet by lightly greasing it with cooking spray, if desired.
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. For smaller bites, you can cut each triangle into smaller pieces.
  • Take a cocktail-sized sausage and place it at the thicker end of a dough triangle. Roll the sausage up in the dough, starting from the thicker end and rolling towards the point.
  • Place the rolled sausages on the prepared baking sheet, making sure to leave space between each one for even baking.
  • In a small bowl, beat the egg and brush it over the tops of the wrapped sausages for a golden finish. If using, sprinkle your desired seasoning on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown. For even cooking, rotate the baking sheet halfway through the baking time.
  • Once baked, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
  • For the best results, serve your pigs in a blanket warm and fresh out of the oven. They're best enjoyed immediately but can be kept warm in a low-temperature oven if you're preparing a large batch.
