MAPLE BACON MUFFINS RECIPES

Ingredients

  • Ingredients:
  • - 2 cups flour
  • - 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • - ½ teaspoon salt
  • - 2 large eggs
  • - 1 cup milk
  • - ⅓ cup vegetable oil
  • - ½ cup granulated sugar
  • - ½ cup brown sugar
  • - ⅔ cup maple syrup
  • - 1 cup crumbled cooked bacon or ½ cup for less bacon
  • - Optional: maple extract vanilla extract, chopped pecans, confectioner's sugar, cinnamon

Instructions

  • Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F and prepare a muffin tin by greasing it or using cooking spray. Insert paper liners if desired.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined. In another bowl, mix the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and maple syrup until smooth.
  • Gently combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, being careful not to overmix. Fold in the crumbled bacon until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  • Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full. If desired, add toppings such as chopped pecans or a brown sugar crumble on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean. Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for 5-10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
  • For an added treat, while the muffins are still slightly warm, whisk together confectioner's sugar and additional maple syrup to create a glaze. Drizzle the glaze over the muffins and garnish with extra bacon and pecans if desired.
  • Extra Tips:
  • For an even more indulgent experience, consider using candied bacon instead of regular crumbled bacon for a sweet and crunchy topping. You can also experiment with adding maple extract to enhance the maple flavor throughout the muffins.
  • If you're short on time, mini muffins are a great option and bake quickly, allowing you to enjoy these delicious treats even sooner!
