Cooking Instructions:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water before draining the spaghetti.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté for 2-3 minutes, or until the garlic is golden and fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds. Remove the skillet from heat.
Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet and toss to combine, ensuring the pasta is well coated with the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add a bit of the reserved pasta water until you reach the desired consistency.
Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley. Serve immediately, garnished with extra parsley and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.
