Cooking Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 2-quart casserole dish to prevent sticking.
Cook the macaroni according to the package directions until al dente, drain, and set aside.
In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the chopped onions and garlic until the meat is cooked through and the onions are tender.
Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, milk, and garlic powder (if using). Mix until well combined and heated through.
Combine the beef mixture with the cooked macaroni in a large bowl and stir well to make sure everything is evenly coated.
Layer half of the beef mixture in the prepared casserole dish, then add a layer of shredded cheese, followed by the remaining beef mixture on top.
Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, then sprinkle with the remaining cheese and return to the oven until the cheese is melted, about an additional 10 minutes. Optionally, broil for a couple of minutes for a bubbly and golden brown finish.
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. This dish serves 6-8 people. The casserole is a crowd-pleaser, making it a great option for gatherings or family meals.
For best results when cooking Hamburger Supreme Casserole, consider experimenting with different pasta shapes or adding your favorite vegetables such as bell peppers or peas for added flavor and nutrition.
If you find that the casserole is browning too quickly, you can cover it with foil during baking.
Additionally, this dish can be refrigerated or frozen for easy meal prep, making leftovers a convenient option for future meals.
