Ingredients

  • Ingredients:
  • - 1 cup pecans chopped
  • - 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • - 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • - 1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
  • - 1 cup powdered sugar
  • - 1 3.4 oz package vanilla instant pudding mix
  • - 1 3.4 oz package chocolate instant pudding mix
  • - 3 cups milk
  • - 1 8 oz container whipped topping
  • - Additional pecans for garnish optional

Instructions

  • Cooking Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, mix together the chopped pecans, flour, and melted butter until combined. Press this mixture into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish to form the crust. Bake for 15 minutes, then let it cool completely.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Once the crust has cooled, spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crust.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and 1 1/2 cups of milk until thickened. Spread the vanilla pudding layer over the cream cheese layer.
  • In a clean bowl, whisk the chocolate pudding mix with the remaining 1 1/2 cups of milk until thickened. Spread the chocolate pudding layer over the vanilla pudding layer.
  • Finally, top the entire dessert with the whipped topping, smoothing it out with a spatula. If desired, sprinkle additional chopped pecans on top for garnish. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
  • Extra Tips: For an even richer flavor, consider adding a layer of chocolate chips or crushed graham crackers between the pudding layers. You can also experiment with different flavors of pudding or even try adding a layer of fruit, such as bananas or strawberries, for a fresh twist.
  • Make sure to let the dessert chill long enough for the flavors to meld and the layers to set properly, as this will enhance the overall taste and texture.
