BANANA BREAD BROWNIES

Ingredients

  • Ingredients:
  • - ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • - 1 cup granulated sugar
  • - 2 large eggs
  • - ½ cup melted butter
  • - ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • - 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • - ¼ teaspoon salt
  • - 1 cup mashed ripe bananas about 2 medium bananas
  • - Optional: chocolate chips or nuts

Instructions

  • Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and granulated sugar until well combined. Add the melted butter and mashed bananas, mixing until smooth. Stir in vanilla extract if desired.
  • In another bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Mix well to guarantee even distribution of dry ingredients.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • If desired, fold in chocolate chips or nuts to the batter. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 23-28 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with few crumbs. Allow to cool in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
  • For the best results, make certain your bananas are very ripe for maximum sweetness and flavor.
  • You can also experiment with different types of chocolate chips or nuts to customize your Banana Bread Brownies. If you want a richer taste, consider adding a drizzle of brown butter glaze on top after they cool.
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week or freeze them for up to three months. Enjoy your baking!
